There are many things that can go wrong, such as unexpected configurations, restrictions on the network you are using, or other software running on your computer that interferes with App Inventor. The process that starts the emulator involves several programs working together. The emulator should start on your computer, and connect to App Inventor so you can test your app and do live development. To use the emulator, choose Emulator from the Connect dropdown menu.

A later version, MacWorks Plus II, supports System 6.0.8, the last version of System 6. In 1988, MacWorks Plus was introduced, which emulates the Mac Plus and can run System 6.0.3. With MacWorks XL, the Lisa 2 and Macintosh XL can run a fair bit of legacy Macintosh software compatible with System 3.2 and earlier. The Lisa 2 was repackaged as the Macintosh XL in January 1985, then discontinued in April 1985.
